Error Number:

Microsoft – SQLServer – Error Message – Could not find table or index with partition ID <xxxx> in database 2

The Database that bears dbid 2 is tempdb.

Googled for help and the first entry was the most useful & pertinent:

The help was from oj-Updated & Sankar Reddy:
The fix was released as a hotfix to be applied to MS SQL Server 2005 that has already has SP1 applied to it.  The hotfix # is 2234.  And, the KB Article is 937343.

Since we know that Sp4 is the latest SP for SQL Server 2005, we chose to go that route.

So please download (MS SQL Server 2005 – SP4), apply that Service Pack, and restart box.
